This was a sad day for me:
– because so few people were there at such an excellent event
– as an optimist I was hoping that the day might cause local leagues to form up for particular activities
– it was poignant too because I was thinking of Archie from Herefordshire Headway, who has sadly died, and was a ferocious domino player and would have enjoyed that particular competition immensely.
– also the Worcestershire Arena had sad memories for myself as following the 2012 Paralympics they hosted a try out day where I was told for both cycling and rowing I have particularly efficient cardiovascular function, but I could not be categorised as ABI was not recognised.
So well done Worcestershire Headway on addressing this need. I had a real high after the day and am looking forward to next year.

We appreciate the time you have taken to give us your thoughts on the ABI Games and thank you so much for participating. We did reach out to all ABI charitable organisations however being time-limited and on a bank holiday weekend this unfortunately meant some of the support workers were not available. We have changed the date for next year which will hopefully mean we have many more participants from local leagues and organisations across the UK. We look forward to you taking part at the next games and having another wonderful day!
