FOR PEOPLE WITH ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY
Headway Worcestershire presents the Inaugural ABI Games
In honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, Headway Worcestershire is proud to present the inaugural Acquired Brain Injury Games.
People with acquired brain injuries from anywhere in the UK are invited to participate in this event.
Partnering with the University of Worcester Sports Arena, the event will be held on 27 & 28 August 2022.
ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Over the two days teams from around the country will participate in physical games. The categories are: Boccia, Indoor Bowls, Walking Tennis, Walking Football, Walking Rugby and Walking Cricket. Do you have a team to enter into this category?

CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Participants can create their own piece of art in the run up to the event. These will then be judged at the event itself. The categories are: Photography, Painting/Drawing, Pottery, Woodwork, Creative Writing and Craft.

COGNITIVE SKILLS
Taking place over the two days, the categories are: Cards (Crib, Rummy), Uno, Memory Game, Dominoes, Chess, and a Quiz which will include the following rounds - images, music, general knowledge.

LIFE SKILLS
Participants are invited to create their entries prior to the event. These will then be judged at the event itself. The categories are: Grow tallest Sunflower, Grow Wonky Fruit/Veg, Bake a Cake, Bake Scones, Bake a Loaf of Bread and Make a Preserve.

PARTICIPATE
Anyone from around the UK can participate in the ABI games. Select the categories you would like to enter, fill in the form below and we will include you in the programme of activities. You are more than welcome to enter more than one category. All participants will receive a medal a baseball cap.

VOLUNTEER
We need volunteers on the day to help with marshalling, refereeing, physiotherapy and general assistance with the event itself. If you are available and feel like supporting us then please fill in the form below and we will make sure we contact you.

COME ALONG
Fancy a fun day out with the family? Come along and get to cheer and support our participants. Entry is free! Refreshments will be available to buy inside the Arena and also Guilt Trip Donuts will have their van outside.
