Name A Neuron

Building a Sustainable Future Through the Name a Neuron Campaign

The Name a Neuron Campaign is a key part of our long-term sustainability strategy, creating a meaningful connection between supporters, brain health awareness, and the vital work we deliver within the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) community.

Creating Value for Supporters

We believe fundraising should be a partnership. In recognition of their support, participants receive:

* A complimentary Brain Health book.
* Recognition on our website and social media channels.
* Regular updates on the impact of their contribution.
* Quarterly newsletters featuring brain health insights, campaign progress, and community stories.

Supporting Business and Community Wellbeing

For businesses, the campaign offers more than sponsorship. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate a commitment to employee wellbeing, community impact, and social responsibility.

Corporate supporters gain access to valuable brain health and wellbeing resources that can benefit their teams while helping to meet Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives. By partnering with us, businesses become part of a growing movement that promotes brain health awareness and supports people living with the effects of acquired brain injury.

A Sustainable Model for Long-Term Impact

The focus of the Name a Neuron Campaign is to build a strong base of regular monthly supporters. Unlike one-off fundraising activities, recurring contributions provide a stable and dependable source of income, enabling us to plan ahead, invest in future projects, and respond to the ongoing needs of the ABI community.

Through this long-term initiative, we are creating a sustainable funding model that strengthens our charity’s future while delivering lasting benefits for supporters, businesses, and the people we serve.

Join us today and help create a lasting legacy—one neuron at a time.
Once you have sponsored, please email us using the button below with the name you would like to give the neuron.

What is a Neuron?

A neuron is a brain cell—one of roughly 68 billion in the human brain—that enables it to send and receive messages. Through these neurons, our brain is able to:

- Move our bodies
- Speak and understand words
- Remember people and events
- Think, feel, and make decisions

Every time you take a step, smile at a friend, or remember a favourite song, neurons are working together to make that happen.

Why Neurons Are Important After Brain Injury

When someone has a brain injury, neurons can become damaged or stop communicating properly. This can affect everyday life—things many of us take for granted.

With the right support, therapy, and time, the brain can begin to rebuild pathways and strengthen connections. That’s where Headway Worcestershire comes in—supporting people to reconnect, regain skills, and rebuild confidence after brain injury.
