Headway Worcestershire is supported by the BIG LOTTERY to enable us to continue in our journey to improve our reach and the delivery of our services to people with and acquired brain injury (ABI) in Worcestershire. The project will support brain injury survivors as well as their families and their carers across Worcestershire. The improved service will encompass all of the services within our organisation which includes referral management, outreach care and support, brain injury rehabilitation hubs, advice and advocacy, emotional psychology and counselling support, support groups and crisis management.
We will develop our referral links with neurology specialists, community therapists and hospital wards working in partnership to ensure a greater number of people have access to our services. Decreasing the time elapsed between a person with an acquired brain injury leaving hospital and receiving support thus increasing the likelihood of an improved journey to recovery and independence. Our aim is to help people achieve their goals and enjoy a quality of life consistent with their desires and interests.
