Our shop sells a vast array of donated items, including quality clothing, bric-a-brac, shoes, bags, DVD’s, old vinyl records, jewellery, pottery, scarves, ties, books and toys at an affordable price and is run by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
Unfortunately, we are unable to take any electrical items or furniture.
We always need goods and our shop depends totally on stock donated from members of the public. Your unwanted items are always welcome, so please spread the word and let your friends and family know. We can receive donations at The Mill, Gregory’s Mill Street, Worcester WR3 8BA, if it’s easier for you to drop off your donation. Telephone 01905 729 729 to arrange.
We are also urging people to donate even the oldest, out of fashion, worn, torn and marked clothes. Other items such as broken phones, odd earrings and unwanted jewellery can be processed. As we can raise valuable funds from items that normally go straight in the bin, by working with a local recycling company we are able to help reduce waste going into landfill. Please mark your bag as recycling to help the team at the shop process your generous donations.
What does volunteering at our shop involve?
Our volunteers enjoy their time at the shop as it gives them the chance to meet people, make new friends, become part of a team and learn new skills while raising money for Headway Worcestershire. Some of our volunteers have been supported by Headway Worcestershire and enjoy the opportunity to contribute their time and energies back to the charity whilst learning new skills.
You may be asked to sort donations, price goods, work on the till and create window displays. Special skills are not often required as training is given on the job, but if you have experience, you should tell the shop manager as it can often be put to use.
Volunteering need not interfere with other commitments, and many shops ask for a regular commitment of a set number of hours per week, that could work around your schedule.
