Support / Care & Relief Session workers

Headway Worcestershire – Worcester

Headway Worcestershire is an independent local charity which works to improve the lives of those affected by brain injury. Due to the ongoing development of our services we have new positions available for professional and caring individuals:

> PERMANENT PART-TIME SUPPORT / CARE WORKERS & RELIEF SESSION WORKER positions to cover DAY CENTRES in WORCESTER, STOURPORT, BROMSGROVE and REDDITCH.

£7.00 per hour

We are looking for support / care workers and session workers who can share their skills and hobbies with small groups of service users. The type of support and care that we offer is very specific to each service user. Some require rehabilitative encouragement to re-learn daily living skills like cooking and household management; others need the opportunity to regain lost confidence, practice social skills and the chance to access our services which offer therapeutic support and guidance. Service users are supported to take part in ceramics, woodwork, reflexology and many other session activities.

If you have patience and would like to share your skills with others, you can expect access to great training, a company pension scheme, mileage allowance and a generous holiday entitlement.
We are eager to hear from anyone who has an interest in acquired brain injury – experience of working with brain injury is desirable but not essential as training can be provided – a caring attitude is more important.

Day Centre Manager

Headway Worcestershire – Worcester

Headway Worcestershire is an independent local charity which works to improve the lives of those affected by brain injury. Due to the ongoing development of our services we are recruiting a new MANAGER for our purpose built day centre and workshop.

The type of support and care that we offer is very specific to each service user. Some require rehabilitative encouragement to re-learn daily living skills like cooking and household management; others need the opportunity to regain lost confidence, practice social skills and the chance to access our services which offer therapeutic support and guidance. The centre is fast-moving and the best applicants will be able to demonstrate an ability to think independently with business acumen.

You must own a car and be insured to use it for work. Successful applicants will be compensated for their hard work with an annual wage of £17835 rising to £18644 and will have access to great training, a company pension scheme, mileage allowance and a generous holiday entitlement.

We are eager to hear from anyone who has an interest in acquired brain injury – experience of working with brain injury is desirable but not essential as training can be provided – a caring attitude is more important.

Support / Care Workers

We have FULL TIME & PART TIME, PERMANENT & RELIEF SUPPORT / CARE WORKERS to cover routes in WORCESTER, MALVERN, EVESHAM, KIDDERMINSTER, STOURPORT, BROMSGROVE and REDDITCH.

The type of support we offer is very specific to each service user. Some require encouragement to re-learn daily living skills like cooking and budgeting, others need assistance with personal care tasks. You must own a car and be insured to use it for work. Successful applicants will have access to a great training, a company pension scheme, mileage allowance and a generous holiday entitlement.

    I am interested in working 2or3 nights a week . I have an NVQ leave 2 in health and social care ,have worked for the county council for the pasted 12years as an care assistant.
